We have just been loving having Brody here! I need to put a picture of him with his eyes open, he's so cute when he's awake and alert. The girls are all over him! He's such a sweet baby and is happy most of the time. He gets gassy and fusses at lot of the night so we're pretty tired not getting a whole lot of sleep, but that's expected.
Labor was pretty fast. We went in at 7:30, got all the paperwork done and they started me on pitocin. I had been contracting a little that morning already so I think that helped speed things up. My dr. came in and broke my water around 10 or 10:15 ish, and they had to call him not too much longer after that. I didn't have an epidural and it hurts REALLY bad! But the whole experience is awesome, except for the uncontrollable screaming. Once he was out, I didn't care, and I felt soooo much better. I only had to push twice and he was out at 11:40!
Recovery has been MUCH better this time around also. It seemed to make a big difference not having the epidural. Anyway everyone is healthy and happy!

Oh my gosh Em, he looks so good. I am so proud of you for being able to do it without any meds. I never would have been able to do that. He is adorable. If you're breast feeding and drinking milk, avoid that, it will help with his gassiness.
So, we've been meaning to bring by our gift that I bought you for your shower. What do you know, Brody already has the shirt we got him. You can exchange it I guess.

What a chunk! So so cute! He looks just tasty. I'm glad he's here and you didn't wait for the due date. I'm proud of you Emily you did it with no meds!! Can't wait to see him, Matt must be a proud Daddy.

Congratulations on your little boy! He's a cutie! I'm wondering if the girls are going to share their grandma & papa with little Brody. I can't wait for more pictures!
