I'm Pregnant!

Almost 5 weeks!  A couple days before I even found out, Ella kept telling me "I need a brother"!  And now that she knows we are having a baby, she is certain it's a boy.  If we even mention that it could be a girl she gets mad and assures us that it's a boy.  And she refers to it as "he".   So I guess we'll see.  I don't care either way if it is a boy or a girl.  It would be nice if it's a girl because I know a little about having a girl and have tons of clothes, but it would be nice to have a boy so we can have a boy!!!

In the gingerbread house picture Matt isn't mad or annoyed.  He was just being funny!  FYI.....

Gingerbread House

We got lazy on this one!  But it was fun for us all to do together.  Notice how we weren't creative at all.  It looks almost exactly like the one on the box!

Goodbye Cosmo!

Lately Cosmo has been wanting to explore outside just the backyard.  Usually he would stay even if the gate was open.  A few times recently we had to go looking for him and found him having too much fun in neighbors yards or at the park chasing the ducks.  We were always able to somehow get him to come home.  Well, about a week ago, I was gone at a friends baby shower and Matt texted me and said Cosmo got out again and he chased him for a long time and then gave up.  I think Cosmo had a little taste of the "good life" and never wanted to be locked up in our back yard ever again.  I hope he's out there somewhere having a lot of fun, not getting into fights or being captured by the pound.  Maybe he found a good fire hydrant to stay near??  Or a nice family found him.  I joked that the Chinese buffet place may have gotten hold of him and..... ya, don't ever eat at those places!  They're disgusting!!!
I actually dreamed of him coming back and we were so happy!  One night I even heard a noise and got up to see if he was waiting at the gate to be let back into the yard.  Anyway, we know he is probably not coming back and hope he is happy!

Spoiled Rotten!!!

No, not my kids! Me!
My B-day was monday and Matt did nothing but pretty much spoil me. I don't think I am deserving of all he did but I sure did love it.
My mom and sisters, except Erin and Cathy (we missed you) went out to lunch with me while Matt came home for lunch and took the girls out so I didn't have to bring them. While I enjoyed good company and good food at Vito's, they went to lunch and then to Target to get me some last minute things. Ella and Macy got me a singing "Happy Birthday" card and a muffin pan! Matt asked Ella what she wanted to get me and she said "cupcakes" so perfect because my cheap muffin pan had just had it and I actually threw it away a few days before. (I make muffins like 3-4 times a week)
Matt took me out to dinner and got me a new ipod nano

alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5270879158151362898" />

(he even put a lot of thought on an inscription, so sweet) and my birthday card was so thoughtful. And then he made an appointment and pre-paid for me to go get my hair done at Tantrum! I almost threw up when he told me how much it was! Sorry but I'm one of those who has a hard time paying a lot to get my hair done. But I love it and I think it looks good! Thanks Matt, I love you so much!
And thanks for the other thoughtful things from everyone else! Even text messages. It means a lot!

It was a great day!

Making skirts!

Erin feeding the elastic through

Lindsay multi-tasking

Natalia measuring fabric

Sorry, no pics of me!

So the sisters and I decided like 2 days before Ben's wedding to make skirts for the girls because we couldn't really find anything that we loved that would go for all the sizes that we had to get. So 2 nights before the big day we were at my mom's really late making 8 skirts! Luckily we have a couple sewers in the fam and we had 3 machines going almost all night. Good times!!!

Ben and Cathy's wedding

Wow I've been horrible at keeping up. Here are a bunch of pictures of the reception and all the cute skirts we made for the girlies! I wish I got more pics of the kids individually. And my camera has officially turned to crap! Sorry!

So like forever ago...

(about 3 weeks ago) we went on our Stake's Pioneer re-enactment Trek. It was a lot of fun. And it was pretty hard, especially the last day, most of it being uphill in the loose sand. It was a really good experience and we had really good kids. They worked so hard! We had a lot of fun at night by the campfire telling stories and eating "trail mix" from Bishop. (trail mix = twinkies and ding dongs!) My parents were there so that was fun and the other 2 ma and pa couples were awesome! We had a lot of fun hanging out with them.

My nasty bruise

My cowboy!

This was after the first day of pushing and pulling. I was so tired! And I look horrible in a bonnet.

Happy Halloween!

The first picture is Matt and my dad. They had a lot of fun "playing the part" of their costumes. (I didn't dress up) The girls had a lot of fun and were so cute trick or treating. Macy was especially cute because she's just so tiny and said thank you and "bye" like a hundred times at each house. Matt wasn't going to dress up this year but after he got home from work he pulled out his fake mustache and fake cigs and went to town on the costume. I don't know what I'm going to do with him!!

Sweet Girl

Even with dorito cheese on her mouth!
Ella has been such a sweet heart lately (with the exception of today, aaagh!) and not giving me a hard time. She even tells me to smile when I'm frowning and a little upset.
Thanks for being so nice, Ella! I love you!

The Cold Cream monster came early for Halloween...

This is what happens when you are at your mom's and you don't pay attention to what your kids are doing. (This isn't the first time this has happened, it's just the worst, so far!)

I can't get it out of her hair, either! We washed it last night and nothing, so this morning I did her hair like this...

You can't see it very well, but, her new nickname is "Slick"
Then the pigtails came out and her hair was all over the place. At the store I put the hood of her jacket over her head so no one could see it. This is ridiculous!
Later this morning I washed and scrubbed and washed again, and NOTHING!! So I think I might have to bust out the dish soap. We'll see what happens!

Time for a new "Ella quote"

On Fri my bro Ben got married so Thurs we had a dinner and it was at my brother in law Cass's parent's house in the back yard. A few of the kids wandered inside and found lots of fun things to play with. Cass's mom is called Nani (sp?) (pronounced Nonny) by all of her grandkids so Ella feels like she has to call her that, too. Kathy (her real name) told me that the kids were in her living room and Ella went up to her and said, "Nani... I know this is your HOUSE, but we're going to play SCHOOL." Where does she come up with this stuff???
The picture is of Cass laying in the table of ice that previously held the "Jones" sodas. He'll do almost anything on a dare!

On Friday.......

Ella did this!!!

She was so sad at first because I was laughing so hard but hid that I was laughing and told her that it made me cry, but now she loves her new bangs! Me, not so much, but I'll get used to it someday. At least they aren't too bad. I trimmed them the best I could to make them more even. Pictures of her "fixed" bangs will be posted at a later time.

Deposed!

So today I had to go to a depostition and give real testimony of an accident I witnessed more than 2 1/2 years ago! I was sworn in and there was a court reporter and everything! It was pretty much exactly what I had expected, except I wasn't too nervous. I thought I would be super nervous. I worked at a place that handled legal documents and I used to sit at a computer and watch depositions and time code the sound to the text. So I have seen them before. I have seen some pretty extreme ones where there was yelling and stuff. Mine was just a boring normal one. There were a couple times when one of the attorneys kept objecting and the other one asked "why" and he said "because you are just asking the stupidest questions!" It was kind of funny and I wanted to laugh. Anyway, I think I was a huge help to them and I hope justice is fair.

Kristin Wiig "Penelope" (not the pig nose one)

http://www.hulu.com/watch/11931/saturday-night-live-penelope--traffic-school

At game night last week some girls and I were talking about Penelope from SNL and some had never seen any of the skits. Click on the link above to see one of them.
I think she is so funny! One of my favorites. (Target lady reminds me almost exactly of my Grandma!)

Dead Animal

My house smelled so bad this morning, mostly in the front room and kitchen area. I told Ella (jokingly) "it smells like a dead animal in here, we need to find it!" A while later she was playing in the windows in the front room and Ella yells to me, "I found the dead animal mom!" So I run in there to make sure she isn't touching anything sick and she said, "look! It's a fly, it's dead!" Phew! Glad she didn't really find some dead SOMETHING that made it's way in my house. I don't smell it anymore, after I took the garbage out. I think Matt put a stinky diaper in the garbage can, which is against the law at my house! (thought he knew better)???

Ella Quote of the Day

The pee is turning off, mom......... it turned off!
Ella was sitting on the toilet peeing and as it started to slow she told me "the pee is turning off, mom!"  And then when she was done she said, "it turned off!"

Happy Birthday Matt!!!!!.......

Yesterday.  I love you!

We celebrated all weekend.  We went out to eat Friday with the girls at Rubios, Saturday at Pita Jungle, and Monday at McGrath's Fish House and then we caught a movie (Ghost Town, (cute movie)).  Extra workouts are due this week!  We usually go to Malee's for his Birthday but he wanted to go somewhere else.  Anyway we had a good weekend and I hope Matt enjoyed his birthday.

Wall-E

This post is a little out-dated but oh well.  When wall-e was showing up in the previews on tv, Ella thought it was the coolest thing.  She always talked about going to see wall-e.   We were at the store a few days before the movie came to theaters and Ella spied the shirts and I couldn't resist getting her one.  She was so cute about it.  Then Matt took her to go see it.  She had so much fun, even though she fell asleep for part of it.  It was something cool for her to go do with her dad.

ipod drama

For Matt's birthday I got him an 80 gig ipod.  I was so excited!  I saved up my money and got it a couple months back because I knew if I didn't get it then when I had the $ I would spend it on something else.  Anyway, I gave it to him super early in July (his Birthday isn't until next Monday).  He was so happy because all he had was his dell mp3 player from like 4 or 5 years ago.
Well on Saturday we went to the gym, had an awesome workout, and I got to work trying to get the house in order (somewhat).  As I was switching loads from the washer to the dryer I noticed something felt a little heavy and all I could say was "this is not good"  and Matt came and saw that it was his ipod in the pocket of his shorts.  It got washed!!!  Crap!  Poor guy, it was probably in the top 3 of the worst days he has ever had!  And it isn't even his birthday yet!  He would have nothing to show for it.  He went to Sam's Club to see if he could exchange it but they wouldn't take it back because water damage wasn't covered for returns.  The guy was kind of a jerk to him and told him to call Apple and they would hook him up.  (I don't think $180 is exactly "hooking someone up".)  So I told Matt I would try to take it back to another Sam's Club on Monday.  I went and they told me they didn't have any of that same kind left unless I wanted the display one or I could go to another Sam's club, I kind of hesitated because I didn't want to go to another Sam's club.  The electronics guy grabbed one that they did have (the new ones) and they pulled my receipt and noticed that I paid the exact same amount for Matt's as the new one they grabbed.  I was thinking, can this really be happening?  (The new ones are all 120 gig)  And it was black!  (Matt wanted black in the first place)  They traded me straight up for it and I was so happy!  We got 40g more and black for nothing more!  Happy Birthday to Matt!  I love you!

Magic Mountain

I know it's been over 2 weeks since we went, but I'm a slacker... what's new?
Batman!  This one was for Ella.  I knew she would appreciate a picture of Batman... she LOVES Batman!

The Thomas ones are also for Ella.  Another thing she loves.

Goliath
Dung, just after riding on Goliath.  (He's the one with his arms up) He had a blast!
Ben and Kathy just after Goliath.  (Can't really see them)  Somehow we all got on separate cars on that one.

These are all pictures of Matt and I doing Dive Devil (in no particular order)
Ben, Kathy and Dung all did it just before us.  I don't have pics of them, they are on their cameras.  I got to do this one other time with my good friend Kristin back in high school or maybe just shortly after, and I forgot how flippin scary it was!  But it was worth it both times!  So much fun!
Matt didn't feel good all day.  He waited on this bench while Dung and I went on superman.

We had a lot of fun.  The ride home was hard because we were all tired, and Matt was sick.  I have to add that while we were in the parking lot of "Ralph's" Matt "ralphed".  It was funny!  And sad all at the same time.
